DESCRIPTION:Our monthly art show featuring two incredible local artists 
 is the first Sunday of every month. Meet the creators - plus live music 
 and wine!\nCan’t make it to the debut event? The gallery is open to th
 e public during regular winery hours\, and we welcome you to enjoy the s
 pace! Selected artists showcase for an entire month and the pieces are a
 vailable for sale.\nOur curator\, Lori Loewen\, works to find the best a
 nd brightest creators in our area\, pulling together solo\, complimentar

 work for consideration.\n\n\n\n\nNovember Featured Artist: Joel Adas\n\n
 Joel Adas grew up in Highland Park\, New Jersey.  After spending a year
  abroad in Florence studying painting and drawing in 1988\, he enrolled 
 in the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a focus
  on painting.\n\nContinuing to pursue his studies in Painting Joel atten
 ded SUNY Purchase for two years of grad school In the mid-nineties after
  which he moved to Williamsburg\, Brooklyn and began working at the Broo
 klyn Museum.  He continued to paint and became a part of the burgeoning
  art scene in Williamsburg\, showing in a number of the galleries there 
 as well as curating shows in his apartment in Long Island City.\n\nAdas 
 currently resides in Cape May\, New Jersey with his wife Helen\, also a 
 painter.  Together\, the two recently started an art school\, the Color
 ful Palette\, in Villas\, New Jersey.  In addition to the teaching area
  there is a shared studio space in the school where Helen and Joel conti
 nue to paint and follow their vision.\n\n joelsadas@gmail.com\n\nNovemb
 er Featured Artist: Helen Selsdon\n\nI was born in London\, England. I s
 tudied Fine Arts\, Painting at Camberwell School of Art and graduated i
 n 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Soon after this I visited New Yor
 k City and moved permanently to the United States in 1989.\n\nFor many y
 ears I have worked from direct observation\, painting en plein air and i
 n the studio to capture the heft and beauty of objects and people around
  me. My fascination with this iconography has recently taken me in a dif
 ferent direction – the result of a visit to Sicily and a 4th century A
 D Roman villa that left me mesmerized and inspired. The Villa del Casale
  near Piazza Armerina is covered with exquisite frescoes and mosaics\, i
 ncluding an early representation of women wearing bikinis and playing sp
 orts. The work in this exhibit is from my memory\, imagination and photo
 graphic images of the villa and extends my exploration into interior spa
