Our monthly art show featuring two incredible local artists is the first Sunday of every month. Meet the creators – plus live music and wine!
Can’t make it to the debut event? The gallery is open to the public during regular winery hours, and we welcome you to enjoy the space! Selected artists showcase for an entire month and the pieces are available for sale.
Our curator, Lori Loewen, works to find the best and brightest creators in our area, pulling together solo, complimentary and group shows. Visit the Gallery page on our website to submit your work for consideration.
March Featured Artist: Carol Keiser
I am a watercolor artist, painting a kind of realism. I give a lot of detail to my paintings. I Like what was said about Van Gogh, “I want people to see what I see.” I view life in detail, colors, shapes, people, and stories. Norman Rockwell was asked by the POST to place no words with the artwork he submitted. They wanted the piece to speak for itself. I find I want my artwork to do the same. I tend to pick subjects that speak to me of a time, place, conversation, or event; and, in turn, I hope it will speak to others.
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I am married 39 years, have 3 daughters and 7, almost 8, grandchildren. My husband Dan, a musician, and I now reside in Hammonton, NJ near Wharton State Forest. I have been painting on and off my whole life, inspired by two established artists, Fred Arnott (sculptor), and Joan Arbeiter, (painter). During my pursuit, life got busy with family and elderly parents, so it wasn’t until more recently that I have been able to concentrate on my painting. I attended DuCret School of the Arts in Plainfield, NJ for a short period of time, which was a private school composed of classes by accomplished artists. After that, I took lessons from various local artists to develop techniques. The most recent was by artist, Kathy Johnston English, who has tremendously helped me to escalate my painting and skill. I am forever looking and learning from fellow artists and my surroundings.
My artwork has been placed in juried shows locally, several I have won and placed. I also have displayed at different events throughout the year. Recently I have done some commissioned pieces as well.
