May Featured Artist: Cyndi Gove
Cyndi Gove (Lost In The Woods Studio) is a versatile artist with over two decades of experience in oil painting, creating rich, textured works on canvas, wood, metal, and any surface that sparked inspiration. She specialized in custom sign work and hand-lettering, seamlessly blending typography with painted scenes to craft one-of-a-kind pieces. Her portfolio includes numerous commissioned works, each reflecting her deep connection to nature and the outdoors.
In recent years, Cyndi has embraced the fluidity of alcohol inks, captivated by their organic movement and vibrant unpredictability. This transition has expanded her artistic expression, complemented by explorations in watercolor and acrylic. Whether working with controlled brushstrokes, free-flowing pigments, or hand-lettered elements, her pieces continue to evoke a sense of wonder and harmony with nature, reflecting her lifelong passion for creativity and the world around her.
May Featured Artist: Mikala Miller
Hello! My name is Mikala. Myย journey with flowers began in 2020, and it quickly became a passion. What started as a love for gardening evolved into a desire to capture and extend the life of these beautiful blooms. Seeing their beauty fade inspired me to experiment with various drying and preservation techniques, and now I’m thrilled to share these everlasting floral creations with you.
Art and nature have always been intertwined in my life. Growing up surrounded by art in my family’s gallery, I learned the power of design and the importance of bringing beauty into people’s homes. It was a natural evolution to discover my passion for flowers โ living works of art. At Sunbaked Stems, I bring that same dedication to design and quality, cultivating and drying all my flowers right here in Cape May County. From seed to finished piece, every creation is crafted with intention and love, using only the finest materials, from organic practices in my garden to acid-free mats and UV-blocking glass. My goal is to create floral art that brings lasting joy to you & your home.
